ARCHAEOLOGICAL TOUR OF MYANMAR (KMJ-7)

Day (1) Yangon

Arrive at Yangon Airport and transfer to Hotel by tour guide.
Night stop at Yangon.

Day ( 2 ) Yangon ~ Pyay

After breakfast, leave Yangon for the journey to Pyay which is about 286 kilometers southwest of Yangon. Afternoon sightseeing of Pyay featuring the famous Shwesandaw Pagoda, Hsehtatgyi Pagoda, a mammoth sitting Buddha Statue. Later visit to Local Market of various products from around Pyay. Night stop at Pyay.

Day ( 3 ) Pyay

Morning excursion to an ancient Pyu capital Thayekhittaya ( 5th to 9th centuries AD ) about 8 kilometers southeast of Pyay. Tour highlight include Palace site, Be` Be`, Laymyethna and East Zegu Temple, the Prototype of Bagan vaulted Temple; the cylinder shaped Bawbawgyi Pagoda, Payagyi and Payama Stupa each with a high conical dome. Night stop at Pyay.

Day ( 4 ) Pyay ~ Yangon

After breakfast, depart Pyay for return journey to Yangon by coach. Afternoon at leisure and night stop at Yangon.

Day ( 5 ) Yangon

Morning sightseeing tour of Yangon featuring the massive Shwedagon Pagoda, over 2500 years old the world famous stupa, famous for its religious significance, artistic beauty and its association with Myanmar history and culture; National Museum where Myanmar's regalia of historic value are displayed; Botataung Pagoda, land mark of Yangon's river-front; Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, a colossal reclining Buddha Image; Yangon downtown and Bogyoke Aung San Market, one of the famous shopping centers in Yangon. Evening, transfer to airpor for departure flight.
